Once, many years ago... an ex and I went on a mission to find "themed" hotel/motel rooms.
(not to be confused with the mission I went on with my 2 best friends to find the elusive poconos
"champagne glass tub", which turned out to be nothing more than a work of fiction...)
We found some awful trucker style sleep hole in New Jersey which, while it did offer several themed rooms
('Under the sea', 'Mirrored ceilings', 'Stripper pole'...)
was pretty depressing. We slept with our coats on.

ALAS, as usual...
the Japaneses do it better.
